01.Go to university

If your career choice requires further education, you need to decide on a university degree that will support your career development.

Decide whether to study at a local or private institution. Local universities have specific A/L subject prerequisites for entry which is determined by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

If you wish to study abroad, research the comprehensive application process, deadlines, financial requirements and examinations necessary, and prepare accordingly.

02.Enroll in vocational training

Not all careers require university education but do require practical, hands-on training to perform a specific job. This option makes you highly employable upon completion of your training since you will be gathering the sought-after skills employers are looking for. 03.Apply for a job

Certain careers allow you to start directly after A/L’s through on-the-job training. Look into opportunities such as school leaver programs, internships, and apprenticeships.
