Uma Rajeendra is a Career Advisor at CareerMe where she provides personalized guidance to clients, helping them uncover the right career path based on understanding their personality, interests, strengths, and personal aspirations. Passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full human potential, she helps facilitate growth in youth and young adults, and helps individuals manage career transitions smoothly.
Uma received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, USA. During her undergraduate career, she conducted psychological research on the implicit and explicit attitudes towards individuals with learning disabilities and the role personality psychology plays in interpersonal relationships.
During her final year at Denison University, she was the president of the international student organization, leading and working with a diverse group of over 200 students from over 38 countries. While in America, she gained experience in diverse fields such as HR, non- profit, and communications. Before returning to Sri Lanka, she worked at a fast-paced, Philadelphia-based consulting firm assisting the Director of business development with a wide variety of tasks including playing a lead role in the firm’s proposal process, managing the monthly newsletter, and generating content for the website.
Prior to joining CareerMe, she worked closely with the CEO and Psychologist of a training and development organization that provides strategic HRD intervention services and executive coaching to individuals and corporations.
