Career Test

What is the Career Test?

Career test is a tool designed to help you understand how a variety of personal attributes such as interests, values, preferences, motivations, and skills, impact your potential success and satisfaction with different career options and work environments. Career tests are used worldwide and in many developed countries, a test is usually mandatory before students decide on a career.

Our free career test is designed to give insight into your occupational personality as this information is crucial before selecting a career. The test is based on the theory developed by renowned psychologist Dr. John Holland. It measures six types of occupational personalities: Realistic (R), Investigative (I), Artistic (A), Social (S), Enterprising (E), and Conventional (C). These are also referred to as Holland Codes or Interest Codes.

The test is composed of four brief sections:

  • ARE YOU: What are your personal strengths and weakness?
  • CAN YOU: What sort of activities can you do?
  • DO YOU LIKE TO: What activities or type of work interests you?
  • APPEALING OCCUPATIONS: What jobs do you like or dislike?

Based on a characterization of your personality, the test will help you discover what kind of work environments and occupations suit you best. After completing the test, you will immediately receive a personalized test report that identifies your occupational personality and suggests potential list of occupations matching your personality. Choosing a career that matches your preferences will increase your chances of being successful!

Why Take It ?

Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions of your life and it is quite natural to feel confused. Confusion further increases with relatives, parents and friends constantly bugging you with questions like “what’s after O/L or A/L”, “which stream will you be selecting after O/L?” or “what job will you do?”.  Since these are important decisions that will stick throughout your life, it is imperative that deciding on a career option is not done half-heartedly or under pressure from others. It is important to understand that selecting a career does not mean deciding upon the ultimate career you can think of, rather it is a way to identify a career path that a person has the potential to grow. Our career test will help you understand your characteristics and which type of career will be best suited for you according to your occupational personality.
